The Challenge
Deep Recognition is an AI and computer-vision technology company, a team of specialists in their own field, but not necessarily in the platform they collaborate on every day. Its Microsoft 365 environment had grown without a clear picture of how it was configured or how well it was being used. A growing technology team can easily leave capability on the table: features unused, settings unreviewed, and staff working around the platform rather than with it. Deep Recognition wanted to understand its environment properly and help its people get more from it.
What Evocate Delivered
In 2022, Evocate delivered a Microsoft 365 environment discovery paired with staff training:
- Discovery and assessment: reviewed the Microsoft 365 tenant and its configuration
- Gap analysis: identified gaps, risks, and opportunities to use the platform better
- Recommendations: set out clear guidance on configuration and ways of working
- Training: lifted staff capability across Microsoft 365
- Enablement: helped the team apply the changes day to day
Outcomes
Deep Recognition now has a clear, documented picture of its Microsoft 365 environment rather than an unknown. Staff are trained to use the platform more effectively, closing the gap between what they were doing and what the tools allow. Adoption improves, and the environment is positioned to be used deliberately as the team grows.
Why This Matters
It is easy to assume a technology company has its own tooling sorted, but specialist expertise in computer vision is not the same as expertise in Microsoft 365. Deep Recognition shows Evocate can combine an honest environment review with hands-on training so a capable team actually realises the value of its platform. For technology and knowledge-based businesses, the lesson is that discovery plus enablement beats simply owning the licences.
