The Challenge
MyHome delivers aged care and home care, which means a workforce that is mostly out in the community rather than at a desk. Carers and coordinators rely on accurate scheduling and contact information, and on email that simply works. MyHome ran ServiceCEO to manage its field service and jobs, but its email platform and the flow of data between systems needed attention. When the rostering system and the office are not aligned, the people who feel it first are the clients waiting at home.
MyHome needed dependable email and its systems talking to each other.
What Evocate Delivered
In 2021 Evocate delivered an email migration and a ServiceCEO synchronisation:
- Email migration: moved MyHome’s email into a modern, supported Microsoft environment, preserving existing mail and minimising disruption
- ServiceCEO synchronisation: configured a sync between ServiceCEO and the Microsoft environment so scheduling and contact data stay consistent across both
- Cutover validation: verified the cutover and the ongoing sync so the back office and the field see the same information
Outcomes
Staff work from email that is reliable and properly supported, on infrastructure built to scale with the business. ServiceCEO and the Microsoft environment stay in step, so coordinators are not re-keying information or chasing mismatches between systems. The result is less administrative friction and more confidence that what the office sees is what the field sees.
Why This Matters
In home care the schedule is the service. A missed or wrong visit is not an inconvenience; it affects a vulnerable person. Getting email onto a stable footing and keeping the field-service system synchronised removes a layer of avoidable risk and frees staff to spend time on care rather than data entry. For any provider running a specialist line-of-business system alongside Microsoft 365, the lesson is that the two should work as one, and a partner who handles both the migration and the integration keeps that join clean.
