The Beginning
Linfox was Evocate’s first client. The relationship started in 2009, the year Evocate was founded, with custom SharePoint application development on the SharePoint on premises platform that Linfox was running at the time. That early work produced the foundations of Linfox’s Invoice Approval Platform (IAP) and FoxDocs document management system, both built and continuously evolved by Evocate over the following years.
The Australian privately owned logistics group has been an Evocate client every year since. Across 17 years they’ve moved through three SharePoint generations, transitioned from on premises to cloud, and replaced their custom platforms multiple times, and Evocate has delivered each transition.
The Modern Platform
In 2025, Evocate completed the most significant transition in the relationship to date: migration of Linfox Property Group’s custom SharePoint applications, including IAP and FoxDocs, to a modern SharePoint Online tenant. This was a multi sprint engagement that closed the loop on a journey from on premises SharePoint custom development (2009) to cloud native modern workplace (2025).
In parallel, Evocate has delivered ongoing SLA support, mailbox migrations to Exchange Online, and continuous enhancements to the IAP platform that processes a significant share of Linfox’s procurement workflow.
Why the Relationship Endures
Most consulting relationships end after the first project. Linfox has stayed for 17 years across three Microsoft platform generations because Evocate has been able to do two things that most Microsoft consultancies cannot: build genuine custom applications on top of the Microsoft platform that solve real operational problems, and migrate those custom applications across platform generations without losing the operational logic that makes them valuable.
When Linfox needs Microsoft delivery work done, they call Evocate. They have done so since 2009. They are doing so in 2026.
