Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA Victoria) is the state’s independent environmental regulator, responsible for pollution regulation under the Environment Protection Act. With 500 staff and regulatory authority that touches every Victorian business, EPA needs its digital workspace to work as hard as its people do.
The reality was far from that. EPA’s SharePoint environment had accumulated across three technology generations:
- SharePoint 2007: legacy content and workflows
- SharePoint 2010: departmental sites and collaboration
- SharePoint 2013: the newest farm, partially deployed
- Project Server 2007: project management, running separately
