The Challenge
AusHealth works in healthcare and medical research, where documents, intellectual property and internal knowledge are central to the work, and where governance and confidentiality matter. As the organisation grew, communication and document handling were spread across tools and locations with no single hub. Staff lacked one place to find news, resources and the documents they needed, and document control was not consistent. For a research-driven organisation, scattered knowledge is a real cost: time lost searching, and risk in how sensitive material is stored.
What Evocate Delivered
In 2022 Evocate delivered a combined intranet, document management and transformation engagement on Microsoft 365:
- theHub intranet: branded to AusHealth, as the single front door for news, resources and navigation
- DocsEvo document management: controlled, consistent handling of key documents
- Digital transformation: broader work to modernise ways of working on Microsoft 365
- Content structure: content held in governed SharePoint Online libraries
- Training and handover: so staff could adopt the new platform confidently
Outcomes
AusHealth now has a single intranet in theHub, giving staff one place for news, resources and quick links instead of fragmented channels. DocsEvo brings discipline to document management: consistent storage, control and findability for the material the organisation relies on. The wider transformation modernised how the team works day to day on Microsoft 365, with content held in structured, secure libraries.
Why This Matters
Medical research organisations carry enterprise-grade needs around knowledge, confidentiality and collaboration, often without enterprise-sized IT teams. AusHealth shows how theHub, DocsEvo and a focused transformation come together in one engagement to give a research-driven organisation an intranet, proper document control and modern ways of working, all on a secure Microsoft 365 foundation.
