To make this easier for us all, Microsoft have a range of products within Office365 that can make this transition a smooth one and keep us efficiently working from home. Here are some tips on how to make working from home easy with Microsoft.
Wear work clothes when you are working from home as this will allow you to quickly jump into a video conference on Microsoft Teams. This will also put you in the right headspace in order to draw the line between work and home. Don’t worry as you can probably get away with still wearing pyjama bottoms!
Move your corporate file shares into SharePoint and your team shares into Microsoft Teams. This will enable your team to collaborate anytime, anywhere and on any device.
Learn to co-author with your colleagues so that you can work together. Working on the same presentation together will increase efficiency and get the job done faster!
Schedule your focus time with My Analytics. Make sure you start work on time and set yourself breaks using the MyAnalytics add-in in Outlook.
Stay connected to your colleagues with Yammer. Keep everyone updated with announcements and create polls to engage with your teammates. Let everyone know what’s on for the day by posting a picture update!
Get the right equipment for your staff who are working from home. It makes a huge difference when you can hear someone and speak clearly over an online meeting with noise cancelling headphones.
And finally, remember to stay safe! No matter where we work from, we want to make sure we regularly wash your hands for 20-30 seconds and minimise the amount you touch your face.
