SharePoint Development ... the Evocate Way

At Evocate we offer three levels of customisation for SharePoint. The First Level involves building a solution using pure SharePoint artefacts like lists & libraries, calendars, tasks, announcements, blogs,  wikis, subsites, office’s suite of products, out off the box webparts and thirdparty webparts . These solutions also include simple branding of SharePoint to match most corporate style guides. Like Annual leave systems, Expense claims forms etc….

Next we offer solutions where customisation requires wed developer knowledge of SharePoint. These solutions could include building Content Query Web parts, Aggregation solutions, basic custom workflows, infopath, basic BCS integration, basic SSRS reporting, basic PerformancePoint dashboards, Standard Search, Form Based Authentication, Power Shell solutions and SharePoint Designer solutions. Advanced Branding and External websites like Purchase Order systems, Inventory Management Systems, etc

Finally, we offer advanced Visual studio Solutions that requires expert knowledge of SharePoint. These solutions include Complex workflows, Integration with Third Party Workflow engines, Fast Search, Web service integration, Complex BCS integration, Custom Authentication and Authorisation, Silver Light components and purpose built components like Webparts, modules, features and solutions. Custom solutions like Risk Management systems, Production control Systems, Project management Systems, Loan Management systems, etc…

At this level of customisation we tend to use a combination of dot net 3.5 and 4.0, Silver Light , WCF. Entity Spaces and Telerik contols are extensively used but our solutions are not limited to them. Our programming language of choice is C#.
