You may already have it
If you are a small to medium sized business using a single Windows server, chances are that you are using a Microsoft Small Business Server(SBS) 2003/2008. With SBS, Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) comes out-off-the box . While on other versions of Microsoft server's, SharePoint is required to be installed. Fortunately WSS 3.0 as a product is free to install & use and requires no additional licensing.
